Eve Torres Talks About Kissing John Cena On Raw, Backlash On Twitter
February 16, 2012 by admin · Leave a Comment
WWE.com has published a pseudo-shoot interview with Eve regarding her abrupt kissing session with John Cena in front of Zack Ryder on Monday’s Raw SuperShow as well as the backlash on Twitter.
“I never intended for anything bad to happen to Zack,” Torres said. “How this turned out is not how I intended. I acted in the moment – we all make mistakes. I can’t really say I’m sorry, but isn’t it better to be honest than to lead Zack on?”
Torres received an avalanche of angry messages on Twitter, many of which are “not suitable for publishing on WWE.com.”
“It’s been a hard adjustment for me, reading my Twitter timeline,” she said. “But, people need to realize that there’s more than one side to people. I always try to put my best foot forward both inside and outside the ring. But I have emotions, and that goes for anyone – sometimes emotions just take over.”
Torres also stresses that she’s “only human.”

This isn’t confirmed but it’s believed that Rock will start a build for SummerSlam that night, schedule permitting. News on Randy Orton’s Injury, Shawn Michaels & the Boston RAW, Today’s Superstars
February 16, 2012 by admin · Leave a Comment
- Matches for today’s WWE Superstars include Aksana vs. Maxine, WWE Tag Team Champions Epico & Primo vs. Santino Marella & Alex Riley plus Mason Ryan vs. WWE United States Champion Jack Swagger.
- WWE’s story on Randy Orton’s concussion from Monday’s RAW is that he suffered a concussion when Daniel Bryan hit him with the World Heavyweight Title but this is likely just a storyline reason. During the match against Big Show when the injury occurred, Orton can be seen getting up and his legs weren’t steady, after delivering the RKO to Big Show. Orton got up from the RKO slowly and immediately grabbed his head.
Backstage at RAW on Monday, nobody knew Orton was injured or at least they weren’t talking about it.
- When promoting Triple H vs. The Undertaker, a local ad for the March 5th RAW Supershow from Boston asks how will Shawn Michaels respond but doesn’t say what he will be responding to. It’s been speculated that Shawn will be the special referee for Taker and Triple H’s WrestleMania 28 match.

John Cena’s Car Collection, Report on Atmosphere Backstage in WWE, Linda McMahon
February 16, 2012 by admin · Leave a Comment
- New political polls for the Connecticut Senate race show Linda McMahon trailing Democratic candidate Chris Murphy by 9 points.
- There is a feeling among WWE officials that there are very few Superstars these days who act like and are main event talents, but the atmosphere is different than what it was a decade ago.
Back then, WWE had it’s top main event Superstars but then had guys like The Hardys, Edge, Eddie Guerrero and many others who weren’t booked at the top but were working hard and motivated to get to the top. It’s said that these days, the motivation level to move to the top isn’t there.
- It’s no secret that John Cena is a big car collector. Cena’s collection currently consists of a 1966 Dodge Hemi Charger, a 1969 AMC AMX, a 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge, a 1970 Buick GSX, a 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator, a 1970 Ford Torino GT, a 1971 AMC SC Hornet 360, a 2006 Dodge Ram SRT 10, a 2006 Ford GT, a 2007 Dodge Charger SR8 Super Bee and a 2007 Ford Saleen Parnelli Jones Edition Mustang.

Several Notable WWE Office Departures, Mark Henry’s Chamber Return Nixed
February 16, 2012 by admin · Leave a Comment
- Mark Henry was brought to Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings in Fresno, California to be named as Randy Orton’s Elimination Chamber replacement. Later in the day, likely because officials realized Henry wasn’t physically ready, the decision was made to have Santino Marella replace Orton.
- WWE made several office cuts on February 10th that were considered “major and shocking.” Jim Connelly, one of WWE’s top executives, was released along with Florence DiGiorgio and Dean Miller.
Connelly, hired in 1999 and considered to be a major pick-up, worked as Senior Vice President of Consumer Products. Dean Miller worked under Connelly as the Senior Manager of Home Entertainment and Florence DiGiorgio, hired back in the 90′s, worked as WWE’s Senior Director of Global Licensing.
WWE’s official word on the departures is that they are re-organizing that department but the feeling was that Vince McMahon made the moves at the worst time – right before the big New York Toy Fair last week. At the Toy Fair, people from WWE’s Consumer Products division were awkwardly dancing around questions on who to contact within WWE for potential licensing deals. Within WWE, people have been surprised at the timing of gutting that department.

Big Success for WWE in Abu Dhabi, WWFX Correction, The Rock, ECW, Gangrel
February 16, 2012 by admin · Leave a Comment
- Former WWE Superstar Gangrel turns 43 years old today.
- On this day back in 2010, the final episode of ECW on SyFy aired. The main event of the show saw Ezekiel Jackson defeat Christian in an Extreme Rules match to become the final ECW Champion.
- Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the Executive Producer of a new NASCAR documentary that airs on PBS February 23rd at 9pm. “Racing Dreams” won Best Documentary Awards at several film festivals and has been optioned as a potential action movie.
- In a correction from last week, the February 4th WWFX show from the Philippines that saw John Morrison capture their Heavyweight Title actually drew 5,080 fans – not 1,200.
- All three of WWE’s RAW live events in Abu Dhabi last week drew crowds between 5,000 and 6,000 in a 6,000-seat arena. The three-day tour grossed around $2 million. Because WWE was in a richer region, ticket prices were higher than normal – a more than $100 per ticket average.
The WWE crews were informed about what to do and what not to do, to keep everything low key and not party too much or get out of control. Due to the culture, WWE did not bring their pyro or fireworks, the Titantron or the Divas.
